Emotional Self-Care
Is emotional Self-Care important?
Out of the three parts of health (physical, mental, and emotional), emotional health is the one that has the least amount of solid practical direction. For generations, the practical application of mental Self-Care has been unacknowledged, and only in the last year or so have we gotten around to seeing what the lack of addressing mental health has done to our communities around the world. I bring your attention to that point to say we have yet to even socially accept the larger challenge of emotional Self-Care.
Now that we are accepting the mental aspect of things, we are getting closer to the emotional side of health. However, the younger and older generations of this age are in tremendous need of support when it comes to the practice of emotional Self-Care. It is how one feels about life that shapes the quality of it and the challenges one will face. Providing emotional Self-Care to people allows them to put a value on themselves and the health which they need to enjoy the pleasures of life.
We need to ground ourselves in a way of understanding the critical impact of emotional health on mental health. Maybe then we will be able to do so much for the health community, our children, mothers, and fathers. This is some insight into just how important practicing Self-Care is, especially when it comes to emotional health.
